Clients receive a text notification from their therapist indicating readiness for their appointment. The session will commence with a discussion of any concerns and specific focus areas. Following this, the therapist will explain the draping process, communication regarding pressure preferences, and the procedure for exiting the salon.
Tell the therapist immediately if the pressure is too light or too deep.
Clients have the freedom to wear attire of their choice. During sessions, clients are securely draped with sheets, ensuring that only the specific muscle group being addressed is exposed. If you prefer to keep an area covered, or if you would like to avoid working on your feet, you are welcome to keep your socks on. Please communicate your preferences to your therapist, and together, we will devise an appropriate plan.
Clients are encouraged to engage in conversation if they wish. Our therapists prioritize your preferences; if you prefer to talk, the therapist will respond accordingly, and if you prefer silence, the therapist will maintain a quieter demeanor, aside from occasional check-ins to ensure your comfort and the appropriate pressure is applied. Meeting our clients' needs is our utmost priority, particularly in this environment.
Mild soreness is normal, similar to a workout, and usually subsides in 1-2 days.
The frequency of your sessions is determined by your individual wellness objectives and availability. While a monthly session is generally recommended, those dealing with chronic discomfort or recent injuries may benefit from scheduling two sessions each month. As you experience improvement and a reduction in discomfort, many clients transition to a monthly maintenance schedule. For acute pain, weekly sessions may be more appropriate, addressing both physical and mental heaviness effectively.
Yes. The therapist is experienced in providing care at any stage of pregnancy. However, the decision to receive massage therapy during pregnancy remains a personal choice and should be made in consultation with your physician's recommendations. Pillows and a bolster are utilized to provide support during prenatal massage for side-lying and supine positions. Clients are never positioned face down at any point during the session. Abdominal muscles will not be massaged during prenatal sessions. In regular massages, we generally refrain from working on the abdominal area unless clients specifically request it for particular conditions, including chronic constipation, menstrual cramps, or diastasis recti.
